One more masterpiece from Google!!!

Now you can Search the Google in Kannada (All Indian languages). It seems good. It takes lot of time to type the words. I tried Kuvempu, Karanth and Tejasvi.

Poornachandra Tejasvi

Tejasvi, my favorite kannada writer passed away recently (Apr 5, 2007).

Its a Great loss to Kannada and to Karnataka. Kannada missed one more Jnanapeeta award (Last one P. Lankesh). When Lankesh died, I was studying 11 in JNV Uttara Kannada. At that time I knew him only as the editor of Lankesh Patrike. I had not read any of his books at that time.

Tejasvi, apart from being a great writer, he was developing Kannada fonts, net savvy like most of the youth, great photographer to list a few...

At 5:30 pm my colleague told me this sad news. But I did not believe him at first. Then around 3:30 AM I Googled and I had to believe it...

Tejasvi's first story that I read was Sushmita mattu hakkimari, when I was in 8th standard (I think). Recently I read his Annana Nenapu. Its about Kuvempu, its like his early auto bio. I really enjoyed it. Then I read Jugari Cross, his one more gem. It was beautifully presented on staged in Ranga Shankara.

Still I have not seen Tabarana Kathe, which is directed by Girish Kasaravalli. I could not find this movie in CD shops (Still trying....).

Coming Soon... Googls's Power Point

Google is adding Power Point to its Google Docs & Spreadsheets docs.google.com/.

Google Docs is a web based application. You need to have a Gmail account to use it. You can access it form any where. Even you can share it with your friends.

What I like most about Google is thier simplicity. Very simple user interface (GUI). And most of the apps are web based.

This move may cause some problems to Microsoft Corp.

I am using Docs to store some of my Technical links(Oracle Docs,Unix Docs, etc).
